DANNY J PLAYER
PRODUCER// REMIXER//DJ

THE BIO

American electronic producer and DJ, Danny J Player produces deep groovy electronic music influenced by the styles of Gorgon City, Gesaffelstein, Mark Knight, and Kaskade.

Danny was born in sunny San Diego, California where he grew up listening to 90s Hip Hop, 80s Funk, and Salsa.  Around the age of ten, he began making mix-tapes using his father’s old stereo sound system. This would become the stepping stone to Danny’s passion for music.

At the age of thirteen, he came across Fruity Loops (FL Studio), a music producing software, where he began producing Hip Hop music on a daily basis. As of today, Danny still uses FL Studio for all of his music productions/remixes.

During his late teens, Danny was exposed to various genres such as House, Electro, Trance, and Techno. His new love for these genres would lead him to begin producing electronic music.

In the 2000s, Danny released two self-produced albums, House De Neon and Sunset Cliffs, both of which would catch the ears of many from across the world,  allowing Danny to be featured on various radio stations and shows such as Digitally Imported Radio, TranceNet, LugaRadio, and more.

In the early 2010s, two tracks from Sunset Cliffs, "Changes" and "A Million Places," were signed and released by MOSP Recordings. This would be a huge step for Danny as these would be the first record label signings for him. Danny collaborated again with "A Million Places" singer Taran Gray, and remixed Taran Gray's single "Rocket To The Moon." Danny's remix was signed and released by Octane Recordings.

As of present day, Danny has been working tirelessly on his productions, remixes, and episodes for the Gaslamp Rhythm Show. Keep an eye out for more to come.
